Tecumseh, Michigan
I met with Katrina at Starbucks in the cold months of winter for our her warm June wedding consultation. I knew right away how sweet and loving of a couple her and Matthew were from the way she spoke of him. She was planing their special day while her groom-to-be was finishing up his degree out of state. She and I talked about her visions and what she wanted for her wedding photographs. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the way her photos turned out. They were married at Tecumseh Church of Christ with close friends and family to witness their love and exchange vows.
One of my favorite things to capture are the bride and groom gifts. This gift that Katrina made for Matthew was THE sweetest. It said “wherever you go, I’ll go. Wherever you stay, I’ll stay.” She carved out the pages to one of their favorite stories and added a compass. So timeless.
Their wedding reception was held at the BEAUTIFUL Hidden Lake Gardens, the grounds of Michigan State University. The place is beyond perfect for portraits. I loved how their photos turned out!
This beautiful cake that Matthew’s Aunt made to celebrate their heritage. It was a traditional Norwegian desert called a “crown cake.” Made to celebrate Matthews heritage. They included the other flags that make up both of their heritage as well. Just perfect!
Here are the highlights of their special day. I just LOVED this smitten and sweet couple. They left immediately following the reception for a short honeymoon followed by a relocation/move out of state to start their new chapter!!
